The album received generally positive reviews from critics and was a commercial success. It debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200, earning 121,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. The album is Post Malone's fourth top-five album in the US.

According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), he has sold 13 million albums in the United States and 95 million digital singles, making him the eighth best-selling digital artist of all time.
