On “Euthanasia,” Post Malone discusses the titular topic, which is the practice of intentionally and painlessly terminating the life of someone who is suffering, allowing their soul to be in peace.

Throughout the song, a heartbeat-like rhythm can be heard. A beep, similar to the one heard on a hospital monitor when tracking a patient's vital signs, is also heard throughout the song before ceasing just before the end, likely implying death.

The song can be traced back to early 2020 due to its similarity to the final song on the album “New Recording 12, Jan 3, 2020,” which is likely an early demo of what eventually became this track.

In a similar vein to “Waiting For A Miracle,” “Euthanasia” discusses the mental places that depression has brought Malone to in his past. As a result of his depression, and likely also due to the other difficult life experiences that he details on the album, this song finds Malone expressing the hope for a “painless, if not easy, death,” something that the practice of euthanasia could bring about.

[Verse 1]
Took a fuckin' sip from my ash can
It didn't bother me too much
I spit another tooth in the trash can
I gave up on keepin' me in touch

When I go out, it ain't gonna hurt at all
A choir of angels, euthanasia

[Verse 2]
Behold, a sober moment
Too short, and far between
I should crack one open
To celebrate bein' clean
When I go out, it ain't gonna hurt at all
An end to anger, euthanasia
When I go out, it ain't gonna hurt at all
Familiar stranger, euthanasia

They say it's painless
