On “Wandered to LA,” Juice WRLD and Justin Bieber team up for the first time on a song in which Juice details a drug-filled euphoric and romantic experience in Los Angeles, California, while Justin focuses on getting his relationship with his wife, Hailey Bieber, to gradually become perfect.

The song serves as the second single to Juice's fourth studio album, Fighting Demons, his second posthumous project. It was originally rumored to be titled “Hotel Room” with a verse from Post Malone.

Juice first previewed the song, which then had a different instrumental, on September 18, 2018. It was previewed three years later on December 1, 2021, by Juice's manager, Lil Bibby, who also teased a potential official release of the track via a tweet. The following day, which would have been Juice's 23rd birthday, his team announced the song and its cover art along with Justin as the co-lead artist.

Fighting Demons is the fourth studio album by American rapper and singer Juice Wrld. It was posthumously released by Grade A Productions and Interscope Records on December 10, 2021. The album features guest appearances from Justin Bieber, Polo G, Trippie Redd, and Suga. It serves as a tie-in for an HBO-produced documentary titled Juice Wrld: Into the Abyss, released on December 16, 2021.
